BIOGRAPHY

I specialize in relational therapy for families, adults, and children. My priority is creating a safe, accepting, collaborative space where individuals and family members feel heard and understood. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or looking to strengthen family relationships, I'm here to help you create positive, lasting change in a compassionate, shame-free environment.

My approach draws upon current research and a variety of therapeutic models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Attachment Based Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sessions may include expressive arts and play therapy, and of course, talk therapy when it fits for my clients. As a family therapist, I focus on strengthening attachment bonds and resilience so that families are better equipped to navigate life’s challenges as a team. In my individual work with adolescents and children, I emphasize consistent, collaborative communication with parents, and encourage involvement in their child’s treatment when appropriate.

  • I earned my Master’s Degree from Palo Alto University, and my professional journey includes working in school-based settings as well as private practice. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed extensive specialized training, including:

    - Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship

    - Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 Training

    - Yale University's Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) Program

    - Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Training from The Beck Institute

I am a Taiwanese American woman who grew up in Georgia, and I understand firsthand the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities. I recognize that identity isn't monolithic—it's multifaceted, layered, and deeply personal. I know what it is like to feel like you don’t belong or are different in some way. That feeling can show up in many ways for many different reasons, and I am here to see you, hear you, and work through those experiences with you.

I am deeply committed to cultural humility and ongoing learning about diverse experiences, believing that understanding each person and family's unique cultural context is essential to providing effective support. My work is grounded in understanding how cultural background, immigration experiences, racial identity, family history, and individual lived experiences intersect and shape one's sense of self and relationships. I'm dedicated to learning and adapting my approach to meet your unique cultural context. I like to be collaborative with clients - what clicks for each person is specific to them, so let’s spend time figuring out what that is for you.

When I’m not being a therapist (which is my dream job and second career!), you can find me telling my dog how cute he is, bookmarking recipes and hikes, standing by the ocean, and rearranging my furniture.
