About Us

Our Practice

We believe in empowering people to overcome destructive cycles, and nurture more fulfilling relationships. We help people develop practices that build connection and resiliency in relationships with partners, family, friends, co-workers, and, even relationships with oneself. We understand that the struggles that bring you into therapy are complex, often involving an interaction of multiple factors. Therefore, we embrace systemic and holistic worldview in our work. We believe culture, power, and oppression have relevance in everyone’s life, and take time to sensitively understand and address these themes with our clients.

  • Our approach draws heavily upon current research, particularly related to significance of attachment security. Attachment research shows that we tend to be best positioned to thrive, in all aspects of our lives, when we experience our closest relationships as secure, comforting, supportive, and trustworthy. There are a multitude of factors that disrupt our ability to experience relationships this way. Usually, these factors come from outside our relationships as well as from within them.

When security is disrupted, we are all susceptible to being drawn into cycles that generate misunderstanding, frustration, and disconnection. Sometimes, our very efforts to make things better just seem to perpetuate the problem. Being stuck in these cycles can be exhausting. It is also very common. In fact, growth is usually preceded by periods of disruption and distress. In our view, you are not only here because you have problems to address – you are here because you are ready for a new chapter of growth in your life.

Our Method

Our approach to therapy is collaborative. We prioritize compassion, transparency, and authenticity in order to build trustworthy therapeutic relationships. Together, we will find ways to heal from pain, transform destructive cycles, and grow towards richer, more satisfying lives and relationships.
