  • We take your search for a therapist very seriously. Whenever someone reaches out to us, our priority is to get them connected with mental health services that are most likely to meet their needs, at a cost they can afford. In addition to exploring the possibility of working with a therapist in this practice, we are happy to offer referrals to therapists in our networks, mental health agencies, and other relevant services. The process of searching for a therapist can be frustrating and confusing. Many people start this search when they are mentally and emotionally exhausted. Our priority is to do everything we can to get you connected to your best possible therapist.

  • You are welcome to schedule appointments here or directly with your therapist. Options are available to schedule recurring meetings for several weeks.

  • This is an out-of-network practice. We do not bill any insurance directly. However, we can provide superbills for services that can be used to seek reimbursement from your health insurance. Some clients have found it beneficial to call their insurance company in advance to get more information of out-of-network coverage for mental health care.

    We do not want finances to keep anyone from getting the help they’re after. Each therapist in this practice offers a sliding scale fee structure. We are willing to offer an adjusted fee to clients who are not able to pay our full fee. We are happy to provide the best possible referrals to anyone we are not able to accommodate.

  • What is a Good Faith Estimate?

    On January 1, 2022 the “No Surprises Act” went into effect. This act requires mental health professionals to provide a “good faith estimate” about out of network care to uninsured patients, or patients who do not plan to use their insurance benefits to cover the cost of health care. While it is not possible to know exactly how many sessions a client may want or need, clients are entitled to receive a good faith estimate of the number of sessions and expense to treat a particular issue. The estimate is not a contract. It does not obligate you or the therapist to obtain or provide services. It also does not account for supplemental services one may solicit from other providers.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
